It must be difficult for tournament sponsors of the last seven PGA Tour events of the season. Previously, these tournaments led up to the Tour Championship. Now, they are an afterthought.
It has been pretty depressing, especially this past week at the Ginn sur Mer Classic, to see the utter lack of fan presence. Ken Willis of the Daytona Beach News Journal writes that the location of the Ginn sur Mer is far from ideal and the Vice President of Ginn calls it a "rough, brutal market for us."
Personally, I enjoy seeing some of the grinders and up and comers get a chance to play in the big show. But there aren't too many others who feel the same way.
