Overton has emergency appendectomy

Jeff Overton, who for the last two years has become widely known for going low early in tournaments, "underwent an emergency appendectomy Tuesday night at the Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale, Ariz.," according to PGATour.com. 

The report indicates that Overton is recovering well, but is doubtful to return this season.
