Hoping to emulate the rowdiness of the 16th hole at TPC Scottsdale, this week's Frys.com Open organizers have decided to create an event on their 16th hole entitled, "Birdie Time is Miller Time." You know where this is going...

Through an event called "Birdie time is Miller time," when a player makes a birdie on the par-3 hole, beer will be sold at half-price for 15 minutes at a beer truck next to the concession tent at the 16th.
An open-air skybox also has been set up at the hole, along with grandstands with seating for several hundred spectators.
This reminds me of a scene from Happy Gilmore in which alcohol distributors jump on board with the Tour as sponsors. With executives down in Ponte Vedra Beach worried over future sponsorship deals, maybe the people over at Frys.com are on to something...
