Tiger Woods won his 14th major championship title, and remains undefeated when leading in a major after 54 holes. This goes down in my book as one of the most thrilling majors of all time.
I admit it, I wasn't a believer before this week. In fact, I wrote that Woods would withdraw before the tournament even began.
Hate to jump ahead, but when will we see Tiger next? He told Bob Costas of NBC Sports:
Not for a while. I'm going to shut it down for a little bit here and we'll see what happens.
You have to respect Woods' dedication for playing in the tournament (even if he went against doctor's orders), but I have already heard from several sources that there is a good chance that he could miss the Buick and his own tournament, the AT&T National. If we don't see him again until the British, how will he retain his full time membership (a minimum of 15 tournaments) on the tour? A medical exemption?
