"This is the U.S. Open, not the Buick Open"

Pti_300x300Mike Wilbon and Tony Kornheiser are the first two members of the media that I have heard address Tiger Woods' potential vulnerability next week at Torrey Pines.  Wilbon said:

But this is the U.S. Open, see this is not the Buick Open. It’s the U.S. Open...I’ve had arthroscopic knee surgery, I’m no professional athlete, but here’s what I know, it’s hard to walk a golf course…It is the U.S. Open.  It’s the hardest tournament out there…

And Kornheiser posed a question that I have brought up on this site...

Do you think it’s possible that he walks out there Wednesday night and says the following thing, 'You know what, I’m not ready. I’m not ready to go.'
