Vijay Singh withdrew from the BMW PGA Championship before play began two weeks ago due to a pulled oblique muscle in his ribs. After some much needed R&R, Singh is teeing it up this week in Memphis. He told Todd Lewis of The Golf Channel:
I just worked hard and rested a little bit. I needed some rest. I think it worked out good. I think sooner or later you know as hard as I work, I've got to be careful about what I do. I'm not getting any younger.
According to Lewis, Singh started making full swings a few days ago, so his return comes a little earlier than expected. We all know Vijay though, and he never likes sitting around.
