Barclays announced on it's website yesterday that they have signed Phil Mickelson to a multi-year contract. Mickelson will wear the Barclays logo on his shirt, appear in marketing ads for the company, and make corporate appearances as a part of the deal. Mickelson said in the official release:
I’m proud to continue my personal and professional relationship with Barclays by becoming a part of its effort to support golf around the world. Barclays standards in golf are as high as those in its businesses and the firm is clearly a worldwide leader in both areas.
Barclays is a major global financial services provider, and Mickelson was already a Barclays Wealth client prior to the deal.
