Woods named Player of the Year

For the third straight year, Tiger Woods has been named the PGA Tour's Player of the Year, as voted by his peers. Commissioner Tim Finchem made the announcement earlier today, saying, "To earn the respect of your peers is the highest honor you can receive."  This is the ninth time in eleven years that Woods has won the award.  The world's number one player won seven times this year, including the inaugural FedEx Cup.
