Timberlake to host PGA Tour event in Las Vegas

According to ESPN.com news services, the PGA Tour announced Monday that Justin Timberlake, a four-time Grammy Award winner, will host the Las Vegas stop on the PGA Tour in 2008.  The tournament will be called the Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospitals for Children Open from October 13-19, 2008 at TPC Summerlin.  Timberlake, an avid golfer, will play in the celebrity pro-am on Wednesday and host a concert during tournament week.  It has been reported that Timberlake plays golf almost every day and has vowed to play in a tournament in the future.  "The PGA Tour is delighted to announce Justin's involvement with our Las Vegas event,"said PGA Tour Commissioner Tim Finchem.  "This promises to be an exciting and effective collaboration, one that will only raise the profile of the great work done by the Shriners Hospitals."  George McNeill won the tournament last month with one of the weaker fields of the year.
